Elliott River

Elliott River is a river crossing along the Great Ocean Walk, not far from Apollo Bay.

This section of walk is exposed to severe weather elements including flood waters from upstream, tides and pounding waves.
Previously, hardwood formed the steps to the river which we have subsequently replaced with rock sourced locally.

Using a block and tackle, we arranged multiple large rocks into place to form a stepping stone crossing across the river that will allow walkers to cross depending on flood waters/tide.
